Tie The Knot
From a horse, the rider must lasso the calf by wrapping a loop of the lariat around its neck. The roper swiftly commands the horse to stop after wrapping the rope around the calf’s neck before mounting up and running to the animal. After wrapping the loop around the calf’s neck the rider than must throw the calf by hand and cross and tie three of the calf’s legs. When the calf reaches its advantage point, the barrier is released. If the roper breaks the barrier before the calf reaches its head start the cowboy is assessed a 10-second penalty.
