PRCA Rodeo Events to see at the Springville Rodeo!
PRCA rodeo events are divided into two main categories: roughstock and timed events. Roughstock events, like bull riding, saddle bronc riding, and bareback riding, test the riders’ bravery and skill as they stay atop powerful animals. Timed events, such as barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling, and tie-down roping, showcase the precision and speed required to complete each task in the fastest time possible. The Springville Rodeo adds its own unique flair with special events, including the thrilling hide race, the exciting silver dollar dig, motorcycle barrel racing, and the ever-popular mutton busting, where young riders compete for fun. These special events bring a fun, community-driven twist to the classic rodeo, making Springville’s rodeo experience truly one of a kind!
The Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association (PRCA) offers five events that they sanction. Those include bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping, and steer wrestling.
Women’s Professional Rodeo Association sanctions the barrel race and breakaway roping (new in Springville for 2025)!
Our local events include silver dollar dig, hide race, and motorcycle barrel racing!
